Eyelash
Perm Kit
Q: Why does my glue dry out?
A: Left over glue residue after closing creates air pockets which dries out
glue around the opening. This allows air to travel inside the bottle and dry out the
glue. Solution: Wipe applicator with an alcohol swab and
outside of bottle opening before replacing cap. Always replace cap after each use.
Q: How long does the perm last?
A: Lashes generally fall out and re-generate themselves approximately every
3-4 months. This is the approximate time the perm will last.
Q: Why do my brush bristles fall off applicator
rod?
A: Glue has dried on the bristles after your application and returned to
the bottle. This sticks the bristles together, eventually falling off or pulling out
during next application. Solution: Wipe the applicator
and bristles with an alcohol swab after each use before closing the bottle.
Platinum
5000 & 6000 MicroTech Power Source
Q: Power doesn't turn on?
A: There are 3 power buttons on the older models and 2 on the new.
Determine which model you have and follow the following instructions: If
your machine is still not functioning after following these steps, contact your retail
agent.
Old Model: 3 Power buttons are located on (1)
side of MicroTech Power Source; (2) front panel of MicroTech Power Source; (3) Distal end
of the Platinum Device. All 3 must be in the ON Position
New Model: 2 Power buttons are located on (1) side
of MicroTech Power Source; & (2) front panel of MicroTech Power Source.
Make sure that your machine is plugged into a functioning electrical outlet,
all power cords are connected snug, switches are in the ON position, your device is
connected to the correct device VOLT outlet (6V or more), the volume control is turned up,
and remote control is set to "Hand". Warning: Follow
these steps with the device completely disassembled!
Q: My needle doesn't fit my machine. Why?
A: The most common problem is that the wrong type of needle was
ordered. "3E" Combo Needles are available for all Mei-Cha® machines and
it is important you order the correct needle for your machine.
Q: My Device gets too hot! What is wrong?
A: Chances are the machine is running at too high of a speed for too
long. There is an initial break in period on new machines and overdrive will damage
and break down your motor causing it to overheat. Remember to turn off the machine
while not in use. You can also use the casing sleeve
(enclosed in your kit) to minimize the heat.
Q: What is the rubber black thing in my kit?
How do I assemble it properly?
A: This is the casing sleeve. The
casing sleeve absorbs the minimal heat of the motor allowing for compfortability during
the procedure. You can use this item if necessary.
Instructions on assembly & dis-assembly:
- Disconnect Device from its power cord & the casing
from motor
- Slide the casing sleeve over the tip of the casing pulling
it snug to the base (wide opening) of the casing
- Hold the motor in your left hand and the casing in your
right and screw the casing onto the motor by gently pushing up on the casing sleeve as you
go.
- Do not screw the motor into the casing,
rather screw the casing into the motor. Why? As you screw the casing into the
motor, you are creating a snug fit of the casing. If you try it the other way, you
cause the casing sleeve to fit loosely.
- To remove the casing sleeve, simply unscrew the casing
from the motor and remove the casing sleeve. Trying to pull the casing sleeve off
the device without disconnecting the casing first will make this process difficult and
frustrating.
Sapphire
Dynasty 2000®
Q: My Sapphire has stopped running. Why?
A: There can be several reasons why your machine has stopped
running. Please see the following to see which on best describes your situation.
If you are still experiencing problems, please contact your retail agent.
Did you autoclave or sterilize the motor? If
your answer is yes, this may cause internal parts to melt and the machine to not function
properly. All it takes is one time. Eventually your machine will overheat and
burn out if it hasn't already done so immediately. You have damaged your machine
beyond repair.
Did you submerse your motor in a Cidex or Germicidal
Solution? If your answer is yes, you have permanently damaged your machine
beyond repair. Any moisture build up in the internal motor parts will cause your
device to stop working permanently.
Do you lubricate routinely? This area is most
commonly overlooked. Over & Under lubricating can cause serious problems
overtime and the motor to overheat. Over lubricating will clog your motor and
underlubricating will dry out or burn the motor. Both are serious problems and you
must make sure you lubricate properly. 1-2 Drops of Mineral Oil deposited in the
coupler area before or after every procedure is enough.
Test Procedure:
- Disassemble Device.
- Plug Power Adapter into wall outlet then into the Speed
Control. Does the Speed Control light come on? If yes, go to step 3. If
no, then there is a short in the cord and a new one must be purchased.
- Plug Speed Control into Device
- Press power button on Device. Does the motor start?
If yes, then go to step 5. If no, follow these simple steps:
- wiggle cord near power button. If it starts & stops, there is either a short
in the cord or the device needs service. Stop here and contact your retail agent.
- take your thumb and forefinger and gently push & pull the coupler. Sometimes
first time use, new machines need that extra pull to get it started. You should not
experience this problem again. If this still has not fixed the problem then proceed
to step 5.
- STOP! Your machine is either damaged beyond repair or
may be repairable. Contact your retail agent for service or more information.
Lapis &
Onyx 1000 Series
Q: My needles do not fit, why?
A: Be sure you are using the correct needles. Two types of
needles are available for these two machines and both are very different from the other.
One type is the "3E" Combo Needle and the other is the
"Standard" Needle. Ask your retail agent to be sure you order the correct
needles. Note: "3E" Combo Needles for the Sapphire
Dynasty 2000® are NOT to be used with the Lapis & Onyx devices.
- "3E" Combo Needle: Already encased in the
black needle chamber. Use with combo coupler
- "Standard Needle": NOT encased in the black
needle chamber. Needle Chamber sold separately.
Magic
Styl'O®/The Designer
Q: Why does my tip not apply?
A: Oils from your skin can clog the tips. Applying a lip gloss, lip
stick, or moisturizer before applying the Magic Styl'O/The Designer will also clog the
tips. Solution: Wipe the applicator tips with an alcohol
swab after each application. This will remove most oily residue. You can also
replace your tip with a new one (sold separately).
Q: What is the difference between Magic Styl'O
and The Designer?
A: Absolutely Nothing except the packaging.
Q: How long does the cartridge last?
A: Depending on how many applications, storage and maintenance; anywhere
from 4-8 months.
